About
The Website
LessThanHumble.com - Because there’s nothing wrong with being arrogant. Unlike the name itself though, this website is supposed to be anything but a ego-pumping, arrogance wafting blog. My hopes are to engage readers in exchanging information related to politics, e-business, technology, and anything and everything else that happens to be on my mind.
The Name
Again, unlike the name, this websites is not just out there to pump up my ego and express my arrogance, but instead to exchange information in a productive format (although it is my expectation information will flow out more than it will flow in, unlike a generic forum). The main reason for the name is that I felt it had a certain stickiness about it and of course, it is hopefully fairly easy to remember. Only time will tell if that happens to be the case.
The Gameplan
My expectation is that this will turn into a every-other day update kind of thing, with a wide-range of subject matters.
The Man Himself, Mr. Robert Norton
That’s right, I am the man. If you don’t know me, you probably should. I was originally born in my most disliked town ever, Tucson, Arizona. As a young kid, my family moved to North Idaho (not to grow potatoes though) and then later, to beautiful Durango, Colorado.
I dropped out of high school at the age of 16 - a private school mind you - to focus full time on my then college activities. I’m a big fan of education in just about every form, but I feel that currently the American School System, in particular Public High schools, fail so many people thanks to the all-to-common lack of parental involvement.
To speed forward I’m currently working on obtaining a Bachelors in Business from Arizona State University (go Devils - down Wildcats) and then plan to either attend Law School or obtain a MBA.
I’ve been developing websites for almost 7 years now, and am proficient in many different programming languages, including PHP, C#, Java, SQL, etc. Although I basically program for a living now, it isn’t something that I see a future in (other than of course expanding my businesses).
On a personal side, I have a growing knack for golf, but I never seem to find the time to work on it. For now I enjoy attempting to learn how to cook, working, eating out, working, having a good time, fashion, and, oh did I mention, working?
I have a nearly obsession with my entrepreneurial interests and live and dream my businesses. I currently work for myself and love life more and more everyday because of that. The entrepreneur lifestyle is definitely a great one and I do not foresee myself ever wondering away from that.
History
I’ve started a few blogs over the past several years, all of which have either become attention-starved or have physically fallen off the face of the web. It is my plan to change that loosing streak with LessThanHumble.com and use it as a engaging outlet for whatever is on mine and your mind.
